Having MS can be scary, leading to worry, anxiety and stress which in turn can impact negatively on your brain health.

But if you make the effort a shift in attitude can benefit your brain health. For example smiling, even if you don’t feel like it, can boost your brain, giving rise to changes in areas of the brain associated with learning and memory.

Poorly managed chronic stress can impair memory function but well-managed stress can support you through challenge and change.

Being present ‘in the moment’ also helps us to stay away from negative thoughts or memories that can cause anxiety, stress and depression.
